This study takes an ordinary Catholic through the whole arc of bringing another person to Christ: earning trust, making room for an encounter, proposing him plainly, handing the person to the Church, and being sent. It does that by watching how it was actually done, in Scripture, and drawing the method out of the text rather than laying a method over it. Thirteen core sessions run in order and are cumulative, in five movements: trust and friendship, from the twelve appointed to be with him to the road to Emmaus and the table Jesus kept with sinners; creating space for an encounter, at the well in Samaria, at the Areopagus in Athens, and in the man born blind who could only say the one thing he knew; the proposal and surrender, at Pentecost, on the Damascus road, and in the man Jesus looked at and loved; formation, in the community that devoted itself to the apostles' teaching and in Paul's labor until Christ is formed in you; and sending, from the healed man told to go home to his friends to the witnesses sent to the end of the earth. Five standalone modules are built for the harder rooms and can be run at any point, in any order, or on their own with a group that has never done the core study: your story in three minutes, a prophet without honor in his own house, when someone in the Church has hurt them, the invitation itself, and when nothing happens. A practice ladder of twelve rungs runs across the thirteen sessions, and a page in the first take-home stays sealed until Session Nine.
