What Do You Seek?

Six Encounters with the One Who Asked First
“What do you seek?” · John 1:38

A kerygmatic study rebuilt from the ground up for seekers: people who have not made up their minds about Jesus, sitting alongside the Catholic friends who invited them. Across six evenings it walks six Gospel encounters inductively and unfolds the core message of the Gospel one piece at a time, from the restlessness we were made with, through what stands in the way, to who Jesus is, what He did on the cross, and how grace, faith, and new birth are received freely. One conviction shapes every session and is named only at the finale: Jesus knocks, and it is our free response that opens the door. Six standalone deep-dives, from Zacchaeus to the road to Emmaus, can be used in any order. Leader guides and take-home sheets for every session and deep-dive.

What Do You Seek? runs 6 sessions. It also carries 6 deep dives. Every session comes with a complete leader's preparation guide and a printable take-home sheet for the people in the room, and the full text of each night can be read on a phone from the list below. All of it is free to download, print, and share, with no sign up and no cost.

Hosting this study

You do not need to be a theologian to lead What Do You Seek?. The leader's guide carries the questions, the answers, and the background, so the group can discover the text together. There is a short guide to hosting a Bible study if this is your first one, and a set of six questions that will help you choose a study if you are still deciding.
