I Will Be Your God

A Catholic Journey Through Covenant History: From the Garden to the Wedding Feast
“I will establish my covenant… to be God to you and to your descendants after you.” · Genesis 17:7

A twelve-session inductive journey through covenant history for young adults. Scripture is one story of a God who binds Himself to His people, and this study walks its spine: a covenant cut with Abraham, blood sprinkled at Sinai, a house promised to David, a new covenant announced through Jeremiah. Every one of them is gathered up at the Last Supper into the cup that says: I will be your God, and you shall be my people. The study ends where the Bible ends, at the marriage supper of the Lamb. Leader guides and take-home sheets for every session.

I Will Be Your God runs 12 sessions. Every session comes with a complete leader's preparation guide and a printable take-home sheet for the people in the room, and the full text of each night can be read on a phone from the list below. All of it is free to download, print, and share, with no sign up and no cost.

The sessions

Every session below carries three links. Read opens the full session on a phone, Sheet downloads that night's participant take-home sheet, and Leader opens the leader's guide for that session. Nothing is held back and nothing asks for an email address.

Hosting this study

You do not need to be a theologian to lead I Will Be Your God. The leader's guide carries the questions, the answers, and the background, so the group can discover the text together. There is a short guide to hosting a Bible study if this is your first one, and a set of six questions that will help you choose a study if you are still deciding.
